Sweepstaking – getting started

Getting Started
If you are serious about sweepstaking the first thing i would suggest is creating a new email address entirely for sweepstaking.  You will get a lot of junk emails when you start entering online, so it's a good idea to create a separate one.

Second, download roboform.  It fills forms for you with one click.  It's magic and I absolutely do not know how i sweepstaked for years without it.  There is a free version and upgraded versions you can buy based on your needs.  I have used the free one for years now and been fine.

Next, I highly recommend subscribing to SweepSheet.  Now, this does cost money, but it's worth it IF you are serious.  Winning takes time.  Sometimes you have to enter sweeps for 6-9 months before you see any winnings, but it ends up being worth it.  SweepSheet is THE BEST newsletter out there.  They weed through all the bogus sweeps and just post the real ones.  They are all legit sweeps – not ones where you have to go sit through a timeshare seminar or some other crap.  Every time I win something, someone will say "oh, it's a scam…there's a catch…".  Not necessarily.  Real companies use sweepstakes as promotions and advertising.  It's a way of getting their name out there.  SweepSheet knows how to find them and not the other junk ones.

Finally, give it time and be patient.  A lot of my friends that see me winning and want to try give up after 2 weeks.  This is a marathon, not a sprint kids.  If you want to win a lot like I do, you must channel your inner nerd and spend some quality time behind your PC. It will be worth it!  Oh, and have fun – it's a hobby not a job.

So, to sum it up, here is an easy way to get started right away
