Grace Necklace from Women’s Bean Project

For starters I love working with companies that focus on giving back in some way. Women’s Bean Project does that by employing women who are trying to get back on track in life. These people have fallen on hard times in one way or another and the Bean Project is there to give them the tools they need to help change their lives for the better. Programs like this are so beneficial to society and that automatically makes me take an extra interest in their products!
Among the many products available through Women’s Bean Project, I received a a piece of their handmade jewelry for review. They also have a huge variety of gift baskets, gift bundles, soups, coffee and other gourmet food items.
The necklace arrived safely in a organza bag and in a box. Included is a signed tag by the women who lovingly handmade it. Just another reminder that this necklace has helped a women (Connie, in my case) take one step closer to improving her work skills to help her down her path to self-sufficiency.

My thoughts on this particular piece of jewelry is that it is truly unique. I will have to find an extra special occasion to wear it. It’s a little big for everyday wear for me, but I am not a huge jewelry-wearer in the first place. Just when I get dressed up is when I accessorize more. Connie’s craftmanship is very good, though. The necklace is sturdy and well-made!
The next time you need a gift (ahem…Valentine’s Day), I definitely suggest that you check out what Women’s Bean Project has to offer. In my experience I can say that you will get a great product and also a good feeling knowing that you are helping to break the cycle of poverty for these women!
