Beautisol Face Tanning BeautiKit (Oily)
As you may know by now, I love to be tan. I have laid out in the sun my whole life. It’s definitely catching up with me as I age, though. Fine lines and sun damage are a part of my life now. I still cannot stand looking pale. Just the other day I looked at myself and thought I looked sick. I need color on my face in order to look healthy!
Self tanners can be horrible for my oily complexion. I don’t have a problem with the ones for your body, but I do not like to just apply anything to my face. It has to be a formula specific for my skin type. That’s why I chose the “oily” kit from Beautisol. There is a kit for every type of skin. Not only will it not cause break outs, but it also has ingredients that help absorb oil, improve acne, reduce inflammation and purify the skin! This is the first product that I have known about to do all that, and create a healthy looking tan at the same time.
The first step is the Exscrub Me? Exfoliating is key to avoid looking blotchy. The Jojoba beads definitely do their job well. As long as you don’t scrub too hard, this can be a pleasant and gentle experience. The organic ingredients make this scrub smell like lemonade. It’s wonderful and leaves my skin feeling fresh, awake and ready for the tanner.
Next, it was time for me to apply the Need I Glow More? tanner. This was the part I was nervous about. I have never had luck with self-tanners for the face. First I noticed that it smelled nice. Not that distinct smell you get with a lot of tanners that lingers all day. It was light and pleasant. Next, it appears bronze as it goes on. This is very nice to help you apply it evenly. I did this whole process at night, so I just went to bed shortly afterward.
The next morning I was quite pleased with my reflection. My face was a nice healthy bronze. It was no oilier than it normally would be and there was no evidence of new breakouts.
The color this set gives me is great. Nice and even with no blotches. I don’t look “dirty” like I have with some tanners in the past. I just look like I spent the day at the beach! Exactly what I want to look like in my wedding pictures!
