The New Generation Lunch Box
Can I just say… “Why didn’t I think of this?!” Gosh, I hear myself say that a lot… but that just means you know you’ve come across a great product.
As a mother of two youngsters, and a “green” enthusiast, I am always trying to figure out ways to waste less and spend less. When it comes to making food travel-able–for school lunches, picnics, field trips, road snacks, or just for fun–I’ve tried it all. I bought little dollar store containers, expensive plastic-ware, and the ultimate waste–baggies by the thousands.
My kids more often than not lost the lids, threw out my containers, or just left them to mold in their desks or lockers. And, every time I use a Ziploc, I get that pang of guilt as I imagine the energy wasted, money spent, potential litter thrown in a park causing some innocent woodland creature to be suffocated, or fish snagged and caught, I try to conceive of a better way to feed my kids on the go.
Bright Bin is the solution!
This nifty little box is microwavable, dishwasher safe, BPA/toxin free, convenient, eco-friendly, time saving, and a money saver! AND… the best part… it fits my over-sized whole grain bread!!! I cannot express how many sandwich sized plastic containers I’ve bought only to find that it is made for the typical Wonder size bread. My hefty 15 grain bread is wider than the average slice and I would either have to halve it or squish it.
The bottom compartment is perfect for basically anything. Wet snacks, like fruit can be compartmentalized away from crackers that would otherwise be threatened with sogginess.
This product also comes with Velcro so you have the option to fasten it to a lunch box or bag that you already own. But, it’s fine on it’s own too, as it has a handle.
On behalf of myself and all the other quirky health-nut, green-conscious, frugal people out there, I’d like to thank Bright Bin for my daily peace of mind as I send my kids off with their “smart lunch.”
