Household Traditions Powdered Laundry Detergent – 5 lb.
Up until about a year ago I thought I would never even try a powdered laundry detergent. I have a faint memory of some sort of laundry disaster from my childhood. My Grandmother had used a powder and it ended up crusted to all of the clothes. Gram is the laundry queen, so this was quite devastating. Well, the powdered versions of detergent have come a long way, thankfully. I actually was not nervous to try this one at all, because I have now tried several Tropical Traditions products and have yet to be disappointed!
This 5lb. tub of laundry detergent arrived at the perfect time! It was actually waiting for me when we got back from Las Vegas. So, I had two enormous suitcases packed with dirty laundry. What a great test! I was thrilled to see that the detergent can be used on all colors at all temperatures. I pulled the few dry-clean only items out and started making piles of all the other clothing. As per the instructions, I only needed to use half the amount of powder since I have a front-loading washer.
I am happy to report that all of my clothes came out nice and clean. NO white crustiness – thank goodness! Everything was very fresh and I was left with the satisfying feeling of knowing that no harmful chemicals were used. To top it off, this will save me loads of money! This tub is going to last me quite a long time and will add up to a tremendous savings compared to liquid detergent.
