While reading the “about us” section of this website, I knew this was a company that I would like to work with. I love hearing about people turning their passion or hobby into a successful business. In this case it’s also a love story since she met her hubby through her lip balm! Eco Lips now consists of a team of dedicated people working to create environmentally-friendly, organic lip care products for us all!
I received four lip balms to try out. There are so many to choose from, so I tried to pick ones from different categories. Here are the ones that I chose and my thoughts:
Eco Tints Sugar Plum: If you are looking for some color with your lip balm, Eco Tints is the way to go. Mineral-tinted with some shimmer and all natural ingredients. Sugar Plum is a little darker than I should be wearing, but I just blot it extra and I am good to go. I rarely wear actual lipstick anymore, so this is the perfect solution for my pale lips.
Eco Lips Energy: This is from the specialty line. All I needed to see was “Energy” and I was all over it. This lip balm is infused with caffeine, green tea and B12 which absorbs right into the lips for a nice kick in the pants when you are feeling sleepy. It smells amazing, too. I think the minty, citrus-y aroma helps with giving a boost, as well.
Eco Lips Renew: Rejuvenating lip balm that contains Argan Oil which is rich in fatty acids and sterolins. This helps aid in cell-renewal and fight against free radicals that contribute to premature aging. I have never had big lips. Now that I am getting older I am watching them get even thinner. I chose this one to help slow down the aging process. Plus, it smells fantastic! Orange Spice is my favorite scent among these balms.
Eco Lips Gold: Made with the finest certified organic jojoba oil, this one is all about business. It’s unscented and naturally high in vitamin E. They included the Eco Clip carabiner with this one and it will be attached right to my purse. Cold weather will be here before we know it, so I will be armed and ready to fight chapped lips.
Reviewing these lip balms has made me a lot more aware of what I put on my lips. Our lips are just as important (if not more) than any other part of our body when it comes to moisturizing properly and choosing natural and organic ingredients. They are also gluten-free and cruelty-free!
