My Fifty Shades of Grey Fantasy Cast

My Fifty Shades of Grey Fantasy Cast

Yes, I have jumped on the Fifty Shades of Grey bandwagon.  I had to see what all of the fuss was about!  I flew through the first two books in two days.  They were such an easy read.  I am still on third book and have slowed down a bit.  This is not a typical genre that I would read, but it’s got that twist to it that I can get into.

I know there has been a lot of controversy around this series, and I am not here to review the books… I want to create my fantasy cast for the movie!  As soon as I heard that they will be making a movie I freaked out a little.  * Ahem… #firstworldproblems *  Yes, I lost a little sleep worried that they will pick the wrong people to play these roles.  Well, here are a few people that I would love to see in the movie!

My first choice for Christian Grey is Joseph Morgan.  I am like a crazed Bieber fan for this man.  I fell in love with him from his role of Klaus on the Vampire Diaries.  I think he would make a perfect Mr. Grey because he has mastered all looks – cute, sexy, scary, intense, vulnerable, dominating…  oh boy, I NEED him to be in this movie!  He’s a true Fifty.

My second choice for Christian is Chris Hemsworth.  I think he would fill the role quite well, too.  Those eyes are just to die for!

I would also be quite alright with Alexander Skarsgard.

For Anastasia Steele, if I cannot play the role (haha), then I guess I could live with the following lovely ladies…

Jennifer Lawrence would definitely be age appropriate for the role.  She’s got the sweet yet sexy look for it, too.

Kristen Stewart kept popping into my head, too.  Probably because of all the Twilight similarities, but I really hope they don’t do Kristen and Rob.  Kristen could make a good Ana, though.

I also like Amanda Seyfried or Emmy Rossum for the role.  These are not very creative… I have seen most of these suggestions online.  I can’t really think of anyone on my own because she’s so young!

For Kate Kavanagh I could see Blake Lively.

For Christian’s brother, Elliot, I would love to see Jai Courtney.

So, there’s what I have so far.  Are you reading Fifty Shades of Grey?  Who do you think should play the main characters in the movie?

  1. I really need to read these books!! I love the choices you made (without knowing the characters) especially Joseph Morgan :)

  2. Kristen White says:

I agree with you on most. I love Alexander Skarsguard as Christian or maybe even Ian Somerhalder. I am not loving Kristen Steward and really hope they don’t cast her and R Pattz. The books are amazing and I missed Mr Grey so much I began rereading them. :) I only wish instead of a movie they would make it a television show.

    • Oooh, Ian is a good choice, too. I would love to see this as a TV show. It would have to be on cable though. I don’t think they could possibly edit enough for regular TV! I can see myself rereading the first book for sure.

Oh My. I totally agree with your choices of men for Christian. But I would rather not see Kristen Stewart in this movie. Her lazy eye totally bothers me when I watch her, lol. Everyone at the office is all for a Kristen Stewart and Robert Patterson match up for this movie but I am with you on this one. Joseph Morgan and Jennifer Lawrence are a good match. I am off to search for my fantasy match up to this fairy tale :)

    • Let me know what you come up with!!! I was feeling very unoriginal with the girls. It was much more fun picking the men. ;) Yeah, if they do Rob & Kristen that will suck.

  4. Mary Michelotti says:

    What about Ryan Gosling? mmm

    • You know, he probably would be really good. He’s not someone that pops in my head right away for this, but I am SURE he would make it work!

  5. I like Mathew Bomer for Christian
    Emilia Clarke for Ana

  6. How about Scott Speedman for the part of Christian???

  7. Call me crazy, but I *LOVE* the 50 Shades trilogy so much that I read the series (twice in one month!!!!!) but I’m afraid the movie will ruin the books for me. Plus, how can the story of three books be condensed into a two-hour movie? Ahhh….my Mr. Grey lives in my dreams!

    Happy reading,

  8. Rachael says:

Joseph Morgan all the way!!! He is who I totally pictured as Christian Grey while reading the books!! Someone should drop him a hint. ;)

  9. Barbara says:

I wonder why no one has thought of Cary Mulligan.. she is sweet and sexy and a great actress —I loved her in An Education and that was sort of the same older guy –young innocent girl theme.. of course a very different movie than fifty but I think she could pull it off I do like Emmy Rossum for the part too. I think Blake Lively would be a great Kate
Chris Hemsworth yes great choice for Christian.. best one that has been recommended thus far.. from the looks perspective.. I have never seen him act before so not sure how good he is but this could be a real break through movie for him if he could pull it off..

  10. Joseph Morgan is PERFECT! Im trying my best to get it out there for producers & such to see since he is not on any “main” list.
