Anyone else ever feel like cash is never extra?  Sadly, right now, that’s how it is for us.  Now that I’m back in school full time and not making as much money our budget is really tight.  People say, “just pick up a shift for some extra cash.”  Hah, “extra,” right…  Any cash I make goes straight to the bills, groceries and so forth.

Well, I’m just going to say it…  It sucks not having extra money!  Sometimes I just want to download my new favorite song (remember, that’s how I clean my house—I’m a dancin’ fool with a dust rag), take the kids to a movie, or just stash some cash away for a rainy day.

Earn Cash with Jingit

Okay, so I know what you’re all thinking; “Great, another way to waste time and earn a few cents.”  Well, with Jingit, that’s not the case!

First, you just sign up using your Facebook account.  Right now, General Mills will even give your school bonus Box Tops for Education!  Make sure you download the app on your smartphone so you can participate in-store as well.

Once you sign up, you just watch videos (most are under a minute long,) answer a couple quick questions (the most I had was three,) and then watch your cash pile up!  Once you’re in the store you use the app to “check in” by finding products, scanning their barcodes and then answering a quick question.  It’s actually really fun; kind of like a scavenger hunt.  It’s even something the kids can do and find really entertaining while grocery shopping.  I racked up over $6 in just a quick half hour trip to Walmart!  Plus, I earned a whole mess of Box Tops for my school.

This cash can be used for anything!  You can use it to buy songs from the MusicMe store, or apply for the Jingit Visa Debit Card.  You can use that wherever Visa is accepted so it’s just like cash!  So now I can get my favorite jams to clean house and save up some actual EXTRA money!

Box Tops Obsession

I absolutely love the whole Box Tops for education program.  We collect them like crazy!  I love that by purchasing products that we already use, we earn cash for our school.  At our school, the student council is in charge of the program so it’s teaching the kids how to budget, campaign and get the community involved.  Plus the money they collect goes towards fun activities and supplies for the school.

Our family members help us collect them too.  We have a special place for our all our labels and Box Tops so we don’t misplace them.

Tip: Before we hand them in we cut them out nicely and peel off the extra layers of cardboard from their backs to reduce their weight and save on shipping costs.
