When I shop for holiday gifts, I usually try to start as early in the season as possible. This makes the Layaway concept a great option for me. I’d much rather make interest free payments for a few weeks, than rack up a ton of new credit card debt. I’ve done the latter most years, and it is a terrible way to start the new year.
Shop Layaway Style
Right now, Kmart is all about helping us shop for the holidays without breaking the bank. They are offering free layaway. If that’s not enough, we have a chance to win all our items with Kmart’s Big Layaway Giveaway! What a treat that would be! Each week you have a chance to have your layaway balance paid off!
While perusing other layaway options, I’ve discovered that Kmart has all the others beat! With Kmart, I can shop online, make payments online, and pick up my products in the store–all with no service fee!
Needless to say, I have already been shopping! I found this great play yard for my best friend. She’s expecting her first baby and they’re not finding out the sex. You just can’t go wrong with Disney’s Winnie the Pooh. Plus, I volunteered to watch the baby when she goes back to work. This will be great to have at my house when I have baby over because with my kids all grown up, I won’t have anywhere to put him/her.
I also found this awesome BMX bike. My son is going to be ecstatic when he sees thing under, well, next to the tree on Christmas morning.
I’ve been wanting to get my mom a new patio set for a long time now. She doesn’t get out of the house much, and this would make sitting on the porch so much more enjoyable. With layaway, I may just be able to make this work! And, with the chance that I can win big during the “Big Layaway Giveaway,” it make the gift-giving even more exciting.
