So we all have cookbooks in the cabinet, and we have all also though at some point: “Thank goodness for Google because I have all the food recipes I will ever need in a snap!” – but now, there is a hybrid. America’s Favorite Food cookbook is a hybrid, it is a book, but it has smartphone apps, tips and tools for shopping that can be available on your smartphone while you are at the grocery store, AND it is a compilation of the top 200 rated and reviewed recipes from MyRecipes.com.
America’s Favorite Food Cookbook
The Scan It/Cook It features let you access more information about the recipe in a snap. You scan one of the book’s full-color recipe photographs and the app instantly allows you to view how-to videos, professional cooking tips, meal planners and more. This means (1) no more burnt food because you are going to your computer to figure out how to make something quickly while it has already been started (ha! have had that happen more than once) and (2) you can stop wasting food in the fridge because the app tells you just what you need for each recipe and you know what you are shopping for before you go!
There are quick access icons in the book for each recipe that identify it as “Kid Friendly”, “Gluten Free”, “30 Minutes or Less” and more. I think the part I like the best is the included online comments from readers with add-ins, tips, special ingredients and more. It gives me the access to what other people have said about the recipe – and I already know it is good because how could the top 200 recipes among millions be anything less?!
If you are looking for a Cookbook 2.0 (I made that up, I don’t know if it is a thing) – this is the one! America’s Favorite Food is available at Amazon.com (SRP 24.99, but it is cheaper right now).
