Here’s a fun game for the holidays – Scrabble Catch Phrase!  If you have ever played the original Catch Phrase, this is a new refreshed version.  It’s perfect for larger groups, so holiday gatherings would be a great time to play it.

My friends and I play Catch Phrase all the time.  It always ends up with all of us laughing like crazy.  There’s something about the race to guess the right answer that has everyone involved in a frenzy.  You never know what will come out of someone’s mouth.  It’s hilarious!  We also like to play games when we visit Mike’s side of the family.  This game is perfect for us to bring with since it’s recommended for ages 8 and up.  There are less tiny children on his side, so no one will feel left out.

Since we have played Catch Phrase so much, I am extra excited about this new version.  They have stocked it with 1,500 new words and phrases, so that will keep us all busy for a long time!  The game has the same concept as the original – Pick teams, choose a category, guess the word without rhyming or giving too much away.  If your team guesses before the buzzer goes off, your team gets a point.  The first team to 7 points wins.

Scrabble Catch Phrase is super easy to take with you anywhere.  The handheld electronic device is small enough to be tossed in any of my larger purses.  It keeps score for you, so it’s all-in-one portable fun.
