Arg! Adult acne will probably plaque me for a long time without constant treatment. Having had acne since about 13, I have been through many products that have not been great (or made it worse) – and only found a mix of a few will keep it under control (yes, I know pharmaceutical products might make a difference, but I don’t like the idea of taking lots of pills). Recently I got the chance to try Repiderm from Bio-Scriptives – and saw some results in just a few weeks, and according to the Bio-Scriptives website, one in five women over 25 have acne – so I am not alone! Product received for review.
Repiderm is nice because it has a lower concentration of benzoyl peroxide (4.4%), so it doesn’t seem as strong as some of the other products out there. (You should still make sure you are aware of bleaching that benzoyl peroxide will do, I have found I have to use a black towel, black pillow case, and watch what kind of clothes I am wearing when I put it on). It also has 16 different herbal extracts including tea tree oil, lemon oil, rosemary oil, and algae extract. It has a strong citrus scent – that was a bit weird at first, however, I have gotten used to it quickly. The coolest thing about this product is that it isn’t 3 or 4 steps, it is a one and done thing. It would be easy for teens and young adults because it does not require the multi-step regimen.
I have not seen total clearance from this product, but I have seen a change in the amount of acne and I am hoping with extended use that I will see more of it gone completely!
You can find out more about Repiderm from the Bio-Scriptives website, remember, it works well for any age (not just adult acne).
