I am so excited to have been able to try out some fun new strollers as we prepare for our little one to come home. I have partnered with Jané to tell you about some of the features in baby strollers that I have decided I need when it comes to making the big stroller purchase! Jané has three different strollers, all with stroller features that are much appreciated by moms and dads (and probably babies, but they don’t say too much about it).
My Top Stroller Features
- Small/Lightweight – Seriously, I am not looking to lug something large around with me. I have a hatchback for a reason… to bring home my huge garage sale and flea market finds, not to fill it up with a stroller! The Nanuq from Jané is only 13.5 lbs, which is way under the limit for most airlines, and of course, it folds up small, so I still have room for the flea market finds.
- Safety – Of course there are standards in place, but sometimes strollers aren’t the easiest to figure out how to use, have you ever just wanted to abandon one in the parking lot because you cannot figure out how to fold it up to get it in the car? Jané has their own crash test facility, opened in 2003, designed to help test strollers at the highest levels for safety beyond legal requirements.
- Flexibility – Many people have learned that there is much better maneuverability with a jogger or a three wheel stroller. The Trider Extreme from Jané features the three wheel design and a body that adjusts to any design.
- On Trend – I am a sucker for unique design, strollers are adding more and more features, less and less bulk, and tons of ways to personalize and make use easier. I really like the Rider from Jané because it has a unique design, folds up to less than 30% of its unfolded size (which makes for one of the smallest in it’s category).
Overall, I am super excited for our baby to come – but have grown increasingly excited to try out some of the great gear out there for babies (and moms or dads!)
