This post brought to you by Vitamin Angels Give Childhood. All opinions are 100% mine.

We all get one chance at childhood.  Thankfully, I was very fortunate and had a pretty sweet one.

Favorite Childhood Memories

I remember when my parents bought a new refrigerator when I was like 4 years old…  Jen and I had the time of our lives in the box it came in.  We filled it with pillows and blankets and threw ourselves down the stairs in it!  I’m pretty sure she made me go first to make sure it was “safe.”  But then we decorated it and cut holes for windows and made an entire house out of that box.  It was days and days of pure fun.  I don’t think our parents had a clue that a cardboard box could bring so much joy.

But that’s what childhood is supposed to be all about, worry free, simple fun.  I cannot imagine going through what so many children on this planet are feeling on a daily basis.  This year alone, 3.1 million children will lose their chance to play forever.  And all due to simple vitamin deficiencies.

I am so happy to have the opportunity to introduce Vitamin Angels to you.  This wonderful foundation provides vitamins and minerals to Give Childhood back to children in need.

Vitamin Angels

Vitamin Angels is raising funds through the Give Childhood campaign – running from Tuesday, December 3 through Tuesday, December 31st. Vitamin supplementation is a simple and cost-effective way to give childhood back to at-risk children. As little as 25 cents will give one child the vitamins he or she needs for the entire year.

Your support today will give the gift of childhood to those in need worldwide so please donate now

$300,000 (which is like nothing in the grand scheme of things) is enough to Give Childhood to 1.2 million children around the world in the form of lifesaving vitamin supplements.  Children shouldn’t have to worry about something so simple, yet vital for health.  They should be able to innocently play like we did as kids.

So this year, let’s make a difference by visiting Vitamin Angels Give Childhood to make a donation that will help deliver essential vitamins and minerals to at risk children in need.

  1. What a great cause! I can’t believe how little it actually costs to do so much good. I have to mention that I have memories of playing with boxes with my sister too- she’s much older than me so when we were moving when I was little she made one of the empty rooms into a whole maze made up of boxes! One of my favorite memories, thanks for making me think of it today.

  2. I can’t believe that 25¢ is all it takes to give a child the vitamins they need for a year! I need to go and get that done, what a great cause for so so little.

  3. It is amazing that such a small amount can go that far to make such an impact on a child’s life. It just goes to show that we take many things for granted.

  4. Wow, that was super interesting!! It made me realize I am much more frugal than average, lol. Our wedding we spent about $2k total including my dress!

  5. there are SO many ways to give to others without spending a lot of cash. love promotions like this!!

  6. Gosh I love that bottom picture, he is so cute! I wish I could help ALL of them!! I love things like this, it’s so easy to contribute, thanks for sharing.
