Mini Heart Pies Recipe with Cherry Filling

Mini heart pies are perfect for Valentine’s day. What better way to hand your Valentine your heart than in pie form? These mini pies are quite simple to make and beyond tasty to eat.

Since these mini fruit pies were such a hit, I figured heart-shaped pies would be perfect for this time of the year.

Mini Heart Pies with Cherry Filling

Ingredients:

  • Pillsbury Pie Crust, ready-made
  • 1 container Breyers Cherry fruit topping
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1/2 C flour
  • Large Heart cookie cutter

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss some flour on a flat surface. Rub some flour on a rolling pin.
  3. Unroll the pie crust onto the floured surface.
  4. Use the rolling pin to even out the edges.
  5. Using the cookie cutter, cut as many pairs of hearts as you can.
  6. With a spatula, transfer one cut out heart to the lined baking sheet.
  7. Spoon one TBSP of the Breyers Cherry Fruit topping onto the center of the heart.
  8. Transfer a second cutout heart and put on top of the other half.
  9. Dip a fork in a glass of water and use to seal the two hearts together.
  10. Sprinkle sugar on top of each of the mini heart pies.
  11. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
  12. Allow to cool briefly while on the baking sheet.
  13. Move the mini heart pies to a wire rack to allow to cool.

You can experiment with different fillings with these mini heart pies. Try different fruits or even pudding to create different flavors. Top with whipped cream or ice cream — yum city.
