Seems like an oxymoron right? Time couldn’t possibly fly by when working out. People claim to love the burn and find doing cardio the ultimate “me” time. I mean, I love the way I feel after working out, but during the process I’m usually cursing everything and anything–and time feels like it’s standing still. But I’m so happy to report that I’ve found something that legitimately makes the time pass by like seconds while working out. This blog post was sponsored by Blue Goji but the opinions are completely my own based on my experience.
I want MORE time for working out!
Ever since I started using Goji Play while walking on the treadmill or trucking along on the elliptical I can’t seem to get enough time on the machine. I’m actually addicted and can’t wait for my next workout session. ME. Someone who cannot stand the tedium of cardio machines. I am in love. So is the rest of the family. Everyone is competing for higher scores and we’re all fighting over who can play next!
Goji Play
The concept is so simple. You use Bluetooth game controls that work with the Blue Goji games on your tablet or smartphone. The games distract your mind from the physical work you’re doing and even encourage you to move faster. While you’re engrossed in gameplay you don’t even realize you’re working up a sweat, shedding pounds, and time is flying by. Minutes seriously feel like seconds.
I recently started wearing a pedometer to make sure I’m getting enough steps in a day. My daily goal is to reach 10,000 steps. As a blogger that works from the couch or my desk, this can be a real challenge. But the kids are also racking up more and more steps. It’s now a fun family challenge to see who can get the highest in a day.
Thanks to the Blue Gogi, I’m now almost halfway to my goal before breakfast! Sometimes I make it even farther because I get so lost in a game. I wake up and can’t wait to hop on the treadmill or elliptical and beat my scores or advance to the next levels in my favorite games. The first thing the kids do when they get home is jump on the machine. No one can resist getting all three stars in Smash the Blocks!
The Games
There are numerous games available for a variety of workouts including:
- Smash the Blocks
- Spin or Die
- Kreature Krunch
- Fisticuffs
- Moto X
- Speed Bump
- Row Your Boat
Several others are also on their way! But you can use any game on any machine. Some are just better tailored to others.
Attach the controls to your exercise machine. Sync the controllers by holding down both buttons simultaneously. Then get going. Make 30 minutes of cardio feel like 5! And, with games that incorporate your speed into gameplay, faster movement means higher scores, so #GetUpAndGojiPlay.
The controllers are small enough to throw in your purse or gym bag to use at home or at the gym. Everyone will want to know what you’re using to get so fit.

I totally need this! Time really draaaaags when I'm on the treadmill, but this would make it really fun! I have tried reading on the treadmill and that doesn't work for me.

Oh yeah, reading is tough since your head is moving up and down... the words need to move too! lol

That thing is pretty fun. I like that you can either hold the controls in your hand or wrap them around your treadmill handles.

I'm sure many folks would appreciate exercise being more fun. I've always felt that whenever anything is fun that time seems to pass more quickly and the person wants to do that activity again.

This looks fun. Working out is boring. This looks like it would be fun.
